ChannelNews are reporting that an Apple Warranty scam by an Australian reseller group is under investigation.
The reseller group apparently charged customers for parts on out-of-warranty devices and also claimed them under warranty from Apple using other serial numbers from the resellers database.

barinya reports that the Australian Apple iPhone rollout will be occurring in June, (as pretty much everyone expected) to coincide with WWDC (Stevenote June 9th) and the opening of the Sydney Apple Store, and that dealers have been informed of this information. Local Mac resellers will be able to sell them, and they’ll be unlocked, and available on more than 1 carrier (which implies they’ll be 3G). Hopefully given WWDC’s byline of “A landmark event in more ways than one” they’ll also be including GPS capability…

The Australian Apple University Consortium has announced the 2008 AUC Honours Scholarship recipients who will receive AU$4000 during their honours year. The UWA winner will leveraging FSEvent notifications

Although for a while there have been unofficial ways to get books printed from iPhoto in Australia, printing of Books and Calendars is now officially supported in Australia with iPhoto ‘08 (if you order anything please feel free to comment and let us know how it goes).
You will need to run Software Update to get iPhoto 7.1.2 though.
