In a cunning marketing ploy, if a) Apple releases new iPods on Tuesday, and b) the large hadron collider destroys the planet on Wednesday, then you’ll only have one day to play with your new iPod, so better get out and buy one right away!

On the plus side, Zune users will only have to suffer for an extra day.
