… and who are The Beatles more popular than?
Rather than continuing to sue each other throughout time, Apple Inc. (nee Apple Computer Inc.) announced a deal with The Beatles’ Apple Records that sees Apple take control of the Apple name and allows Apple to license the Apple name to Apple Records. Part of the deal is that Apple won’t sell physical recorded music media.
This agreement replaces the existing 1991 agreement and ends current litigation with both sides swallowing their own legal fees, much to the delight of their lawyers, no doubt.
Rumours now abound about when Beatles content will begin to appear on iTunes.
