Apple Australia on the battery recall

Greg Sharp from the Australian Mac Users Group has been investigating the Apple battery recall in Australia. In an e-mail he sent out this morning he indicated that Fiona Martin, Manager of Apple Australia’s PR department indicated that country customers will be able to use a return paid post pack to return their batteries whereas city customers will need to return their batteries to their local Apple Authorised Service Provider. Not that there seems to be any mention of the post-packs on Apple Australia’s Battery Recall FAQ.

Meanwhile reports on the
WAMUG mailing list indicate that customers of the AppleCentre Joondalup are being allowed to keep their batteries until the replacements arrive (unlike most other places).
